Funds distributed to conservation organisations from the 2022 charge.

Birdwatch Zambia 285,000 Working with the schools situated in Zambia’s KBAs/IBAs to distribute newsletters, engage conservation clubs in activities, developing resources to assist with bird identification and monitoring, train Community Bird Guides, conduct bird counts with communities
Chimfunshi Wildlife Orphanage 130,000 Conservation Education Programme implementation – Education Officer wages, Nature Camp of overnights, creation of forest trail
Chipembele Wildlife Education Trust 285,000 Field trips into the National Park for school children, Nature Nights expeditions for students, Chipembele Conservation Education Centre visits for local school children, annual environmental campaign, internship with Chipembele
Conservation Lower Zambezi 285,000 Supporting Environmental Education with school visits, outreach visits, teacher’s workshops, Manager wages, and covering costs towards base camp infrastructure upgrade
Conservation South Luangwa 285,000 Human-Wildlife Conflict (HWC) salaries, mitigations, operations; Community Fun Run & Sports Day
Game Rangers International 285,000 Engage with Community through radio programs on nature & HWC, Educate through weekly conservation clubs at schools in GMA, and build capacity of teachers to deliver environmental education, Empower by providing life skills training to vulnerable women in GMA
International Crane Foundation 285,000 Support of office costs, buying and printing of educational resources, commemoration of environmental days, school competitions, activities and park visits, community outreach and education, establish climate smart garden at schools with conservation clubs
Kasanka Trust 285,000 Environmental Education Officer wages, support of Kasanka Trust Primary School, secondary school sponsorship, Nature Camp, strengthen environmental education outreach activities at conservation clubs
Livingstone Conservation and Tourism Society 130,000 Reduction of HWC through engagement with the community, via events, educators interacting, social support
Musekese Conservation 285,000 Capex (container, laptops, vehicle), team training for Tangila Trail Series, information dissemination through posters, booklets and newsletters, conservation education
Nsumbu Tanganyika Conservation Programme - SUFINA 130,000 Develop in depth Environmental Education in 15 schools in project area
Project Luangwa 130,000 Support eco stove project through purchase of motorbike, uniforms etc. Over 3000 stoves have been built in the community.
Wildlife & Environmental Conservation Society of Zambia 475,000 To continue and expand country wide conservation clubs and weekly radio programs, outdoor learning activities, waste clean ups and campaigns, M&E, conservation awards and scholarships
