Livingstone Conservation and Tourism Society Logo Livingstone Conservation and Tourism Society (CATS) is a registered non-profit that focuses on bridging the gap between local communities and local wildlife.  With a team of 8 volunteers, CATS conduct conservation education at schools as well as with girl groups, street kids and orphans. CATS is also focused on wildlife and environmental education with families living in Human wildlife Conflict zones (HWC).

Livingstone Conservation and Tourism Society has been provided 3 grants by the Elephant Charge totalling $19,516.

  • $6,280 - Fuchs Elephant Charge 2023 - Developing conservation clubs in schools in Livingstone (200+ kids), conservation camps (50+ kids and 10+ teachers), follow up activities by camp participants within their school and communities (1000+ kids and 2000+ family and community members), EXPO publi event to showcase the work of conservation organisations in area.
  • $8,387 - Fuchs Elephant Charge 2022 - Reduction of HWC through engagement with the community, via events, educators interacting, social support
  • $4,848 - Fuchs Elephant Charge 2021 - Formation of an interactive 6-monthly ‘’Road Shows” to support ongoing sensitisation programs. To visibly promote the Community Board Unit as the roadshow ‘provider’’. Use the road show for data collection and data base.
